Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 4, 2026
1. Who We Are
scdl.ai ("scdl.ai," "we," "us," or "our") operates the AI-powered scheduling platform accessible at scdl.ai (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated automatically through your use of the Service:
- Account information: name, email address, and profile picture obtained through Google OAuth.
- Calendar data: calendar events, availability, and scheduling preferences accessed via the Google Calendar API, solely to provide scheduling functionality.
- Meeting data: meeting titles, descriptions, attendee email addresses, time preferences, duration, format, and any other details you enter into the Service.
- Conversation data: messages exchanged between you, your AI agent, and meeting attendees through our chat interface.
- Usage data: log data, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, actions taken within the Service, and timestamps.
- Device data: device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
- Enable AI scheduling agents to act on your behalf.
- Send transactional and operational communications related to the Service.
- Detect, prevent, and address security incidents and abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Train, fine-tune, evaluate, and improve our AI models and scheduling agents, including the large language models that power the Service. This includes using meeting data, conversation data, and behavioral signals to improve agent accuracy, negotiation quality, and scheduling outcomes.
- Conduct research and analytics to understand how the Service is used and to develop new features.
4. AI Training and Model Improvement
We use data generated through your use of the Service — including meeting details, agent conversations, scheduling outcomes, and user feedback — to train and improve our AI systems. This is a core part of how we build and deliver the Service.
Before using data for training purposes, we apply de-identification and aggregation techniques designed to remove or obscure personally identifiable information ("PII"), including but not limited to:
- Replacing names and email addresses with anonymized identifiers.
- Removing or generalizing location information.
- Aggregating records so that no individual can reasonably be identified from the resulting dataset.
We retain commercially reasonable discretion over the specific techniques applied. You acknowledge and agree that de-identified and aggregated data derived from your use of the Service may be used by us without restriction, including for training AI models and for sharing with third parties as described in Section 5.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information as follows:
- Service providers: We share information with third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service (e.g., cloud infrastructure, email delivery, analytics). These parties process data only on our behalf and under confidentiality obligations.
- AI and technology partners: We may share de-identified and aggregated data with third-party AI research organizations, model providers, or technology partners for the purpose of model training, evaluation, benchmarking, or joint research. Such data does not identify you personally.
- Meeting participants: When you create a meeting, certain information (your name, the meeting details, and the public meeting link) is shared with your invited attendees as necessary to fulfill the scheduling purpose.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental authority, or where we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice within the Service before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
6. Google API Data
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We access Google Calendar and Gmail data only to perform the scheduling functions you explicitly authorize, and we do not use this data to serve advertising or share it with third parties except as required to operate the Service or as described in this Policy.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@scdl.ai. Following a deletion request, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or where the data has already been de-identified and incorporated into aggregate datasets.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.
- Receive your information in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@scdl.ai. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers. Where required by applicable law, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect transferred data.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page with a revised effective date and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
